AFTER last week’s home win over Cove normal service was resumed on Saturday as we travelled through to Kirkcaldy and came home empty handed.
Personally I thought we deserved a draw but that would be mainly due to effort and commitment rather than creative football.
Unfortunately those positives will not always be sufficient to win a football match and that was the case against Raith.
The 200 or so of us who travelled to the game left disappointed and frustrated as we witnessed a few players who just don’t seem to perform consistently at this level of football.
It is clear for all to see that the team requires a central midfielder capable of creating goalscoring opportunities and we also need a proven goalscorer to feed on those opportunities if and when they come.
If funds are being made available I would suggest we get these two players onboard as soon as possible as getting them quite possibly could mean the difference between fighting relegation and reaching the promotion play-offs.
