I THINK it’s fair to say that week after week the thoughts of Morton supporters is going to change, especially considering the lack of consistent performances from individuals rather than from the team collectively.

Saturday was such an example as Ayr United deservedly won the game, but mainly because their strikers gave our defence more problems than ours did.

Jai Quitongo aside, we offered very little up front and highlighted the immediate need for additions to the squad from an attacking perspective which I am sure the manger already knows.

I also thought the fact the club allowed Reece Lyon to go out on loan was wrong in my opinion as he would supplement Robbie Crawford and Grant Gillespie.

But I am a little reluctant to question Dougie Imrie as I assume he has both a replacement and striker in his thoughts through the loan system.

It was also interesting to read the thoughts of some of the players during the week with regards to the SPFL Trust draw and, like them, I was extremely disappointed not to get an away trip to Wales or Ireland as that would be our equivalent of a Champions League trip that Celtic and Rangers enjoy.
