MORTON defender Carlo Pignatiello has warned his Morton teammates they must focus solely on themselves as they head into the final four games that will decide their fate.

Ton travel to Dundee tomorrow as they look to finish the season unbeaten against the league leaders, before they face tests against Raith and Queens Park and end with a trip to Cove.

Wins could see the Cappielow men into the play-off places and the full back insists they must ignore other results and attend to their own agenda.

He told the Tele: “We can’t afford to get too caught up with the way the league table is looking.

“We’re coming to the end of the season and it’s so tight between first and sixth, so anything can happen.

“It’s been tight all season but there’s now two or three teams fighting for every spot.

“I think it’s going to go all the way to the last game of the season, so we just need to focus on ourselves, keep going to the end and see where it takes us."

Pignatiello hopes that Ton have turned the corner in front of goal after a spell where they paid a heavy price for missing chances.

He said: “We’ve been able to take positives out of the two games we’ve had this week, firstly the draw at Ayr and then against Hamilton - we created the better chances in them."

“We know if we don’t take them then we won’t win games, so we need to keep it up on the scoring front.”
