MORTON ace Liam Grimshaw believes his side are due a bit of luck as they look to break into the promotion play-offs at the last gasp.

Ton lie two points off the top four with two games to play.

But results elsewhere coupled with a home win over Queen's Park could potentially lift them into the top four this weekend.

And after a frustrating few weeks with points dropped at the wrong times, the Ton full back hopes that his side's fortunes will correct themselves.

Grimshaw told the Tele: “I’m sure that our luck will even out over the last couple of games.

"We can probably look at the Inverness, Dundee and Ayr games and say we’ve had some decisions that haven’t gone our way.

“It might’ve been penalties, red cards or those kinds of things, but luck has a way of evening itself out over the course of the campaign.

"Hopefully it comes back into our favour in these last two games and you never know what could happen.

“It’ll be a tough one to take if we do miss out on the top four, because we’ve been solid over the course of the season.

"But we’ve still got that chance to still get into those play-offs. If we can win our last two games then we’ve done all we can.

“It’ll be brilliant if we can do it, but even if we don’t we’ve had a good season to have taken it this far.

"So it’s something positive for the club to build on going forward.”
