MORTON matchwinner Robbie Crawford believes that his team stand a good chance of making it into the play-offs as the league season goes to the wire on Friday night.

The midfielder was the hero on Saturday after he coolly lifted the ball over onrushing Queen's Park goalkeeper Callum Ferrie to complete Ton’s comeback over title chasing Queen’s Park.

Now they head to Cove on Friday seeking a win that could them in the top four depending on results elsewhere

He told the Tele: “I am buzzing to get the win, honestly. It was massive in what was a huge game for both sides.

“Obviously going down 1-0 wasn’t great but we showed great character to come back and win the game.

“I thought our penalty was fully deserved, as was the comeback. We showed what we could do at the right times.

“It’s a crazy league, anybody can beat anybody as we’ve seen. Friday will be tough as Cove are a team who’re fighting for their lives.

“They need to win to try and stay up whereas we need to win to try and get into the play-offs. Its got the makings of a great game. Anything could happen.

“We’ve got something to fight for come the last day of the season. We know we need to go and win the game to give ourselves a chance of getting into those play-offs.”
