Battery Park junior parkrun, event number 105, September 3

STV senior news reporter Gordon Chree swapped the camera for a volunteer vest as his children took part in the latest junior parkrun event on Sunday.

A total of 29 runners participated and 13 fantastically quick kids achieved new PBs.

There were two first timers visiting Greenock this week, Jody and Mila Chree, watched by volunteer parents Gordon and Lindsay.

With a new PB of 08:10, Noah Carroll was first of the boys to complete the course. Elijah Taylor was second (08:12) with first timer, Jody Chree (09:27) completing the top three boys.

Anna Shearer (09:24) was first girl to finish, knocking an amazing ten seconds off her PB from last week. Breagha Cannon, also with a new PB of 09:29 was second girl followed by Catriona Pringle, who also achieved a new PB of 09:47.

Parkrun is very grateful to the volunteers who made this event happen: Catriona Anderson, Max Byrne, Gordon Chree, Lindsay Chree, Gillian Clark, Iona Clark, Lewis Clark, Lesley Dick, James Gavin, Tracey Howe, Jess McLaren, Marjorie Morrison, Rachel Neil, Judy Ormond, Kirsty Ormond, Susanne Stetz, Sarah Ward.
