BIRKMYRE Rugby Club continued their winning ways on Saturday with a 61-10 home win against Hyndland.

It was a very close affair for the first 15 minutes until captain Ross Moglia scored his first of three tries, with David Cruickshank slotting over the conversion.

Vice-captain and man of the match Ali Peacock then scored the first of his four tries on the 24th minute.

Hyndland immediately hit back with a score of their own, however further tries from Robbie Peacock and two from Moglia took the score to 35-5 at the half, with Cruickshank knocking over all the conversions.

Cruickshank then opened up the scoring in the second half, chasing his own kick through to score in the corner.

Ali Peacock then ran in the next three scores before Hyndland managed a consolation try in the final minute of the game.

Cruickshank converted three of the four second half tries.

The victory sees the Kilmacolm club sitting top of the league after two matches played.

This weekend they travel down the M74 to Moffat, who are also undefeated this season.
