Greenock parkrun, event number 415, September 16

ON a dry autumn morning 89 people ran, jogged or walked the course. Of these, ten were first timers including two newcomers to parkrun. A total of 11 participants recorded new PBs, and representatives of 12 different clubs took part.

There were three milestones - June Jackson completed her 100th parkrun, and her auntie and niece, Marjorie Morrison and Tracey Howe, both volunteered for the 100th time.

Andrew White was first to complete the course in 18:00 flat. With a new PB of 18:33, Luc Johnson finished in second place. David Holmes completed the top three in 19:41.

Greenock Telegraph:

Finishing in 22:12, Kilmacolm Unofficial Running Club's Eleanor Connelly was first female to finish. She was followed by Cambuslang Harrier Paula McCabe in 23:22, and in a time of 23:53, Jill Aikman completed the top three ladies.

The event was made possible by 19 volunteers: Francesca Lowrie, Lorna Aitken, John Stevenson, Iain McKenzie, Charlotte McKay, David Black, Elaine Hunter, Deborah McKenzie, Stephen Harrison, Lynne Harrison, Lesley Dick, Alison Smart, Paul Bleasdale, Eric Lindsay, Louise Hanna, Tracey Howe, Marjorie Morrison, Arashk Mohseni and Emma Sinclair.
