Newark Angling Club's outing to Loch Lubnaig saw their member bagging the Hugh Coyle trophy with an under-two-pound wild Brown Trout.
Participating in the final round of the trophy, Patrick Dunn's trophy-win, alongside Ray Hichison's success, concluded the club's recent freshwater outing.
On the occasion, 20 members journeyed to Loch Lubnaig, tackling the high waters while seeking a rewarding catch.
Club seniors ventured in the third and final leg for the Hugh Coyle trophy, focusing on the heaviest fish from the three outings.
Dunn's winning trout emerged as the event's highlight.
The club's senior citizens had their own contest with the George Love memorial trophy for the heaviest fish from the Loch.
Hichison triumphed by returning the heaviest fish, and collectively, the anglers returned 18 fish.
However, the high water levels posed a challenge, evident as Billy Matthews and Neil McDowell managed only a single return each.
Those fishing the Strathyre end of the Loch noted some good catches, including a nice trout by Hichison.
Stevie Leitch spent the day catching Perch, and George Martin returned a Brown trout.
With Barry Doolan and George Gemmell (Sr) returning six trout each, Gemmell (Sr) clinched first place after a tense weigh-in.
The club's freshwater champion title, however, hangs in the balance with just three outings remaining.
The junior members found the high Loch condition challenging.
The club appreciates George McCahill for sponsoring the outing.
