A GREENOCK fighter has hit the comeback trail as he bids to notch another Cage Warriors win at Braehead Arena next week.

Reece McEwan will face French submission artist Miguel ‘Santa Muerte’ Haro on September 7.

The mixed martial artist is also among a top class bill of fighters who will battle it out for a £50,000 prize pot at the Cage Warriors 176 event.

He said: “I am really looking forward to getting back in the win column on September 7.

“Huge thank you to all my sponsors for their continued support, especially the local Inverclyde businesses - Dmac Scaffolding, Go Trek, Platinum Paving, Jr Paints, Logan Autos, Pro Ledger and Totally Rewired.”

A host of Scottish talent will feature on the night, with Christ ‘The Bad Guy’ Bungard set for big return to action in which he will attempting to erase the memories of his April defeat in the same arena.

He will face Latvian knockout artist Artūrs Leisāns in a must-win affair at 155lbs.

Glasgow’s Kier Harvey will look to maintain his undefeated Cage Warriors record when he takes on gritty Welshman Rory Evans, a training partner of the UFC’s Jack Shore.

Elsewhere on the card, six athletes will take to the cage in pursuit of the $50,000 PrizeFighter title.

An additional $10,000 is on the line for the first tournament fighter who correctly predicts the round and method of their finish.

The tournament winner will also receive a shot at the Cage Warriors welterweight title at a future event.
