AN INVERCLYDE football team has been awarded vital funding as they hope to continue to fly the flag for youth football in the area.
Port Glasgow Boys Club have been awarded a £4,000 grant from the National Lottery's community fund.
The football club gives kids from the area, as well as Cowal and Bute, the chance to learn how to play the beautiful game, hosting teams in a wide range of age groups spanning from the ages of just 5-21 years old.
Going forward it is hoped that the funds will continue to allow the club to continue with their hard work in the local community for boys and girls of all ages as grassroots football in the area continues to soar.
