PEOPLE from all over Inverclyde can try out a popular sport at a fun event on Friday evening.
The team at Fort Matilda Bowling Club are hosting a Try Bowls session from 6pm.
Run by Bowls Scotland, the event will give people a chance to try the sport, see the club, and meet the members.
The session will take the form of a series of fun games, and coaching and equipment will be provided.
Participants should wear flat shoes.

Club secretary Neil Harris said: "Fort Matilda is a thriving bowling club, with an equal mix of ladies and gents and prides itself on being friendly and welcoming, as well as providing a facility for use by the local community.
"Our Try Bowls event is all about demonstrating that Fort Matilda Bowling Club is very much at the heart of the community and that it will also help to attract some new members to join the club to enjoy the active and social aspects of bowling."
The club is keen to extend its clubhouse to offer improved facilities, and is currently working with Sports Scotland and potential sponsors to help fund the project.
