MORTON midfielder Dylan Stevenson has today left the club by mutual consent.
The teenager is moving into junior football and will sign for Auchinleck Talbot.
Stevenson, 19, joined the Ton youth academy in season 2012 and later signed a full-time development deal.
He made his senior debut as a sub in a cup tie against Spartans in July 2014 and went on to make one start and seven sub appearances over the course of his Cappielow career, as well as spending time on loan at Dalry and Berwick Rangers.
Ton boss Jim Duffy said: “Dylan worked very hard during pre-season to give himself an opportunity and get himself involved with the first-team. He started the game against Albion Rovers and the friendly against Swansea City and did very well.
“But it was hard for him to break into the midfield, which is his natural position, with the boys in front of him. He had a couple of options, to go on loan or to find himself another club, and Dylan felt it was better to maybe try a fresh start.
“We wish him well. He is a terrific boy who has worked really hard at his game in the time I’ve been here."
