GOUROCK footballer Greg Taylor been named in Steve Clarke’s squad ahead of a qualifier which could secure Scotland’s place at EURO 2024.

The Celtic defender was left out of Clarke’s squad for last month’s trip to Cyprus and friendly against England.

Taylor’s recall comes as left back Kieran Tierney drops out after sustaining a hamstring injury in Real Sociedad’s 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao on Saturday.

Scotland will play Spain at La Cartuja Stadium in Seville next Thursday.

Clarke’s side sit top of their group having won their opening five games and are currently six points clear of their Spanish opponents.

The squad will also face France in a friendly in Lille on October 17.
