RANGERS loan player Jack Harkness's time with Morton looks set to end without him playing a minute for the club.

Ton assistant Andy Millen has confirmed that the 19-year-old will probably never play for them after going under the knife last week.

Harkness joined at the end of last month on a season-long loan but was crocked before he could even make his debut, as the Cappielow injury curse continues.

The player posted a picture on social media on Saturday after going under the knife with what looked to be a knee injury.

Millen told the Tele: “Jack Harkness came to us off the back of two injuries and he’s picked up a third one before he’s come to us.

“He’ll not be used, but you see how unlucky the manager here has been this season now.

“Steven Boyd also had to come off with an injury too against Kelty after coming on as a sub and we had to play the last fifteen minutes with ten men.

“But that’s just football. To echo the manager, you’ve just got to deal with it and we’ve not got any complaints.

“There will be other teams who will have to deal with injuries, suspensions and the like. We’re no different.

“We’ve just got to get on with it and go with what we’ve got, whether that's running with five subs, three subs or two subs you just crack on.”
