LOAN defender Tyler French has revealed that he is in regular contact with parent club Dundee as they weigh up a possible January a recall for him.

The former Wrexham man penned a season-long loan at Cappielow in early September, but the Dens Park side hold the right to bring him back early, at the turn of the year.

With his immediate future still up in the air French says he’s keen to focus solely on his game and has vowed to give his all for the Ton no matter what length of time he’s got left at the Tail o’ the Bank.

French, who has had to miss out on recent games, told the Tele: “I’m really looking forward to getting back involved on Saturday, it's been frustrating but being cup-tied is outwith my control.

“To flip that into a positive, it means that Dundee might see a use for me going forward.

“I’m in regular contact with the manager and different members of staff up there, they’re always asking how I’m feeling and getting on.

“In terms of going back in January I don’t know for definite what’s happening in regards to that.

“I can’t tell you 100 per cent what their plans are or what options they’re looking at, but obviously the clause is there for me to go back if they see fit.

“I just focus on the football and playing as many games as I can, whether I’m here at Morton until January or the end of the season it doesn’t make a difference to me.

“I don’t really look at that side of it.”
