MORTON boss Dougie Imrie says that his side’s season starts now as he issues a rallying cry ahead of this weekend’s clash against Dundee United.

Ton haven’t lost in their last six Championship games and haven’t conceded a goal in the last four.

And Imrie finally has a full squad at his disposal for the first time since July, ahead of the trip to Tannadice on Saturday.

The Ton chief revealed that long term absentee Calum Waters looks set to return to the fold this weekend, as the injury backlog finally clears.

Imrie told the Tele: “At the moment everything’s looking positive around the club.

“The good thing for me now is now that I've got everyone fit and available. Calum should be available for selection on Saturday, which means we’ve got everyone available for the first time since the ViaPlay Cup group stages.

“I’d probably say that our season starts now, because since midway through the cup section in the summer that’s when the wheels started to come off with injuries and the like.

“It looked bleak for a long time, but we’ve come through the end of that and got everyone fit.

"We’re now on a run that’s showing when we’ve got everyone fit and available we’re more than a match for anyone in this league.”
