MORTON midfielder Alan Power is dreaming of a run to the latter stages of the Scottish Cup - but has vowed not to take today's tie against Montrose for granted.
The Cappielow side are heavily fancied against the Angus outfit as they look to increase their unbeaten sequence to 10 games.
Power told the Tele: "We have to get Saturday out of the way first. We can't really afford to look past Montrose and get too far ahead of ourselves and look for big glamour ties and things like that.
"But a cup run would be lovely.
"We have to concentrate on the Montrose game first, but it's an old cliche that a good cup run can change your season around.
"What that cup run did for Kilmarnock last season, where we got to the league cup semi final, was fantastic for the boys in that dressing rom.
"But we must just treat today's game like any other.
"We just want to try and keep this unbeaten run going, that's the main thing. We're nine unbeaten just now and if we can continue to build momentum it would be really good for us, so that's our aim just now."
