EXPERIENCED Morton stopper Kirk Broadfoot seems set to miss out on tomorrow's clash against Dunfermline.

The 39-year-old admits he is impressed with this weekend’s opponents and their desire to play free-flowing football - but believes that Ton can spoil their party at East End Park in his absence.

Broadfoot has an unexplained build up of fluid in his knee, but he’s backed his team-mates to get a result in Fife as long as they are at their best.

He told the Tele: “I like Dunfermline, I think they’re a really good team this year.

“They’re good passing side who are young and athletic, filled with good players. It’s probably one of the hardest places to go to in the league as well.

“We’ll need to be at our best because if we’re not then we’ll not take anything from the game.

“It’s good the way they are doing it, that’s the way that a lot of people want teams in Scotland to go now. But they’ve got some good experienced players in their side as well, including the likes of Joe Chalmers who was at Ross County.

“They’ve got experience in there, which you need - and I am not just saying that because I’m considered an older player.

“We are in a good run of form just now and we’ll be looking to continue that, however we’re under no illusions as to how tough it’ll be.”
