MORTON striker George Oakley says that his side's five goal romp at Dunfermline was a long time coming - as he revealed he predicted a result like this coming weeks ago.
The English striker didn't score but was still delighted as his ruthless side took the Pars apart on their own pitch to stretch their unbeaten run to 12.
He told the Tele: "It was a massive win for us, but I've seen that coming with our performances recently.
"I could see that we were going to get a game where every little thing was going to fall for us and things were going to go very well.
"That's us twelve unbeaten now. Saturday was just one of those games where everyone to their man did their job to 100 per cent effectiveness and you saw the outcome of that.
"Our two centre halves got doubles, even if I wanted to claim one of them! I thought it was mine but regardless of that it means that both Bairdy and Darragh have chipped in.
"From a team perspective it's good that we're scoring from all areas of the pitch."
