MORTON youngster Logan O’Boy is set to go out and earn his stripes on a loan move to Lowland League side Cumbernauld Colts.

The 18-year-old is set to work under the eye of former Inverness and Dundee United midfielder David Proctor in Scotland's fifth tier.

O'Boy made his Ton debut against Lowland League opposition in Bo'ness United in the Scottish Cup and impressed, winning a penalty kick before scoring a goal in a classy cameo appearance.

But now he's set to go out and get week-to-week experience that will hopefully aid his development after recently signing a new Cappielow contract.

Ton boss Dougie Imrie told the Tele: "Logan won't be available for the cup tie against Motherwell as he's going out on loan to Cumbernauld.

"It's a good opportunity for the kid to go out and get minutes and progress for the rest of the season and hopefully come back a better player.

"He'll only get that by getting more game time. It was going to be difficult for him to get that here with the competition that we've got in the middle of the park.

"It's a great move for him and a great move for the club to get him out to Cumbernauld and get him experience."
