MY lifetime of following Morton has seen me identify a few stadiums I don’t particularly like going to, including Tynecastle, mainly because their fans struck the fear of God into me as a young boy.

There is also Parkhead, as its horrendous trying to get away from the stadium, Stranraer as the coastal road seems to never end, Cowdenbeath as the stadium is not fit for purpose in my opinion, and Arbroath as it always seems to be blowing a gale and freezing - along with the fact we don’t seem to do well there!

Therefore it was a very pleasant surprise to travel through on Saturday and be welcomed with a lovely spring day, and even more importantly a massive win and important three points.

After many ups and downs this season we can now plan for a further season ahead in the Championship and also knowing that two wins in our final games will enable us to finish fifth and receive some welcome revenue which comes from a higher league position.

Hopefully on Saturday our supporters will acknowledge the efforts of the team throughout the season in the final home game of the current campaign, even if we do feel a little disappointed at not making the play-offs which in my opinion we most probably deserved?
