MORTON midfielder Cameron Blues is anticipating a tough test this weekend as the Ton welcome a red-hot Falkirk side to Cappielow.
The Bairns haven't lost a league game since last year, having gone undefeated in League One last season and picking up three wins from three so far this season.
Their recent exploits have also included a 2-0 win against Scottish Premiership side Hearts in the second round of the League Cup.
The Ton, for their part, have started the season with three draws, including a 1-1 stalemate against Livingston last weekend and two goalless draws against Partick Thistle and Hamilton.
Blues says Dougie Imrie’s men are keen to start finding the net more often, while maintaining the strong defensive record that has seen them only concede one goal so far.
He added: "There have been positives and negatives from all three games.
“There are good signs, and I think we’re starting to play better than we were in pre-season, so hopefully the goals come and the wins come as well.
“I think it’s just about trying to get the full 90 minutes together. There have been flashes in games where we’ve looked really good, so hopefully that clicks soon.
“This weekend is just like every other home game. We have to try and start well, create chances and do all the basics right."
Blues expects this weekend’s fixture to be a different type of game from the one that was played out in West Lothian last Saturday, which saw Livingston control much of the first hour before the Ton rallied in the second half.
He said: “Home and away games are always different.
“I thought Livingston were very good for the first 60 minutes and they were well set up.
“You’ve got to give credit to them for that, but thankfully we came into the game and nearly won it in the end.
“We want to try and get good positive results at home, and it will be a really tough game, but it's one we’re looking forward to.”
