MORTON youth academy stars will have the chance to follow in the footsteps of their heroes on Friday night by stepping out on to the Cappielow pitch.
Pat McIlvogue's under-18 outfit, which features a mixture of first and second year apprentices, will welcome Ross County to Sinclair Street for the Club Academy Scotland fixture this Friday, September 27.
Morton play at the Performance (Progressive) level, the second tier of the Club Academy Scotland set-up, alongside Ayr United, Dundee, Dunfermline, Inverness, Partick Thistle, Ross County and St Johnstone.
The fixture ensures that supporters will get their weekend football fix on home soil, with Ton's first team due to head down the coast on Saturday to face Ayr United.
Tickets for Friday night's game are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for children.
The match kicks off at 7.30pm.
