MORTON are set to celebrate 150 years as a club at this Saturday's home fixture against Raith Rovers.
The club has outlined a number of special tributes to its long history that will be taking place at this Saturday's William Hill Championship fixture at Cappielow.
These include a 150th anniversary flag being raised on the pitch before kick off to mark the occasion.
The flag will feature the club's 150th commemorative badge and will be welcomed on to the pitch by the Kilbarchan Pipe Band, who will also play following the raising of the flag.
A series of former players from across the club’s history will also be welcomed on to the pitch at half time.
Players from across different eras, blended with hall of famers will partake in a lap of honour to mark the contributions they have made to the club during their time at Cappielow.
The club has also given away 1,000 tickets to local schools, charities and good causes to mark the huge impact the club has had in the Inverclyde community over the years.
Morton are also encouraging all supporters to ‘wear old school’ at the match.
In a statement they add: "We would love to see as many historical strips as possible in the terraces where supporters are encouraged to wear the Morton top that means the most to them or one from a memorable period in the club’s history.
"We look forward to celebrating the match in true Greenock Morton FC fashion and encourage as many people as possible to join us and help us mark the day not only with these special tributes but to also push us towards three points on the pitch."
