MORTON WFC manager Gary Forbes has challenged his side to go into their winter break on a high - starting with a league double over Hutchison Vale.
Ton make the journey along the M8 to Edinburgh this weekend looking to make it two wins from two against the Leith side on Championship duty this season.
Ton already inflicted a heavy defeat on the bottom of the table side at Cappielow earlier on this season and Forbes says that a win against Vale could tee them up nicely to finish off the first half of their season strongly.
If they can claim all three points on the east coast it could tee-up the Parklea side nicely heading into next weekend's Scottish Cup clash against Bonnyrigg, potentially going into the winter break looking to turn a corner.
Forbes told the Tele: "If we can go into the break off the back of two good results then it'll be huge for us going into the second half of the season.
"There's been so much progression from July to now - it has been fine margins up until now that have gone against us.
"We've competed in every game but there's an opportunity now for us that if we can beat Hutchison Vale on Sunday then we'll have beaten all of our points total for all of last season.
"The league is the priority and it was always going to be this season - although the cup is a nice distraction these two games coming up are really important for us.
"If we can go and beat Bonnyrigg in a fortnight's time there's an opportunity of a last 16 clash - it would be a huge thing for the club to still be in a tournament when the likes of Glasgow City, Rangers, Celtic etc. It'd be great to potentially face one of those sides.
"But winning games of football is really important for us just now heading into the mini-break.
"It's about changing the mindset into a winning mentality - we go into every game wanting to go and win.
"But I think the players know themselves that these two games against Hutchison Vale and Bonnyrigg in December are really important."
