Dundee United have parted company with manager Csaba Laszlo in the wake of Saturday’s crushing 5-1 home defeat to Ross County.
In a statement the Scottish Championship club said the Hungarian, who was appointed as manager in November 2017, had “mutually agreed” to leave Tannadice.
Laszlo’s assistant Laurie Ellis has been put in temporary charge with his team currently in third place in the table, just two points behind leaders Ayr.
Chairman Mike Martin said in a statement: “I would like to thank Csaba for the considerable commitment he showed during his time at Dundee United and for his contribution to improving the underpinning football structure at the club.”
United finished third in Laszlo’s first season at the helm, 13 points behind champions St Mirren, and were subsequently beaten by Livingston in the play-offs.
