WANDERERS came back with nothing to show from their trip north at the weekend.
The Greenock side travelled to Inverness looking to build on their first away victory in two seasons, but a physical Highland side restricted the visitors to one solitary try.
The match started at a furious pace and from early on it looked as if it would be a hard-fought encounter, with the bigger Inverness forwards looking threatening.
Wanderers went behind in 10 minutes to a penalty score, and were dealt more misery just before the break when the home side"s full-back broke through extremely poor tackling to touch down.
