Greenock Wanderers held their annual Mini Tournament last Sunday when 350 children from clubs across the west of Scotland enjoyed a marvellous day.
As the sun shone, the various age grades from Primary 3 to Primary 7 took part at Fort Matilda.
Greenock Wanderers" teams equipped themselves well against strong opposition and, across the age groups, the honours were fairly evenly divided, Wanderers being awarded the National Semiconductor Mini Rugby Trophy.
Kenny Lang, Mini Section head coach, said: 'We had a fantastic day, and the level of rugby was very good at each age group.
'Greenock Wanderers are known for their friendliness and hospitality, and we received lots of positive comments from visiting parents and coaches throughout an excellent day for the youngsters.
'We would like to thank all the players, referees, parents and catering staff for helping to ensure that this tournament was a resounding success.
'We would also like to pass on our gratitude to National Semiconductors for sponsoring the tournament.'
