A SCHEME which provides out of school care for children with additional support needs is being promoted by Inverclyde Council.
Play 4 All works with young people aged between five and 19 and has just held a successful Easter playscheme.
It was run from 2 to 5 April and used by over 20 families during the week.
Children enjoyed an outing to Linn Park Adventure Playground in Glasgow and although it snowed the children had a fun-filled day playing on a range of specialised equipment both indoors and outside.
Other activities during the four days included Bookbug sessions plus an interactive music entertainment workshop for children of all ages.
Play 4 All provides holiday playschemes during Easter, summer and October breaks as well as afterschool care during term-time.
The service is based in Lilybank School in Port Glasgow and has a team of staff who are highly-trained and experienced in a range of additional support needs, including autism and cerebral palsy. A council spokesman said: "Staff are committed to providing a stimulating, fun play environment for the children and do so by consulting with them on a regular basis. "The benefits of attending the service are that the children are well cared for in a safe and secure environment, are able to make friends and socialise with peers."
