LOVE will be in the air when Greenock Medical Aid Society hosts its annual St Valentine’s ball next month.
The red carpet will be rolled out at Greenock Town Hall for the black tie event on Saturday February 13.
Charles Young, chief executive of the society, is urging people to snap up tickets soon to avoid disappointment.
He said: “Last year’s St Valentine’s Ball raised a grand total of £16,750, which was a great achievement with credit going to the society’s PR and fundraising committee who always put in a sterling effort each year when planning the event.
“The money raised from this year’s ball will go towards the refurbishment of residents’ rooms at Bagatelle and Glenfield.”
Guests at the soiree will enjoy a champagne reception followed by a slap-up three course dinner and music from well known local band Freedom.
There will also be a chance to scoop some fabulous items up for grabs in the raffle and auction.
Charles added: “The support we receive for the ball from many local businesses both large and small is fantastic, particularly when you consider the current difficult market trading conditions many of them are continuing to face.
“We endeavour to generate as much publicity for these businesses as we can at the event so that their support for the society.
“An amazing range of items will be on offer for the auction which should attract strong bids.”
Tickets cost £45.
