A COUNCILLOR today slammed people who are fly-tipping near a railway line through Greenock.
Ciano Rebecchi said rubbish was being dumped at Maple Road in Pennyfern next to the Glasgow to Wemyss Bay line.
He said: “It is very annoying that people still fly-tip and bring their area down – not to mention the danger to the rail passengers.”
The councillor added: “Oak Tree Housing Association and Network Rail are working hard to try to keep the area clear of rubbish.
“And yet we still have thoughtless people bringing the area down, which does not help Inverclyde.”
