A MAN is due to appear in court today in connection with a robbery in Greenock.
The 46-year-old man allegedly stole a two figure sum of money from a 42-year-old woman within a flat in Belville Street yesterday afternoon.
Detective Inspector David Wagstaff of Greenock CID said: "Just before 1pm at a flat in Belville Street, a 42-year-old female was allegedly robbed of a two figure sum of money.
"A 46-year-old male, who was traced nearby, was detained, arrested and charged in connection with the alleged robbery within the flat.
"He is due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court today."
