A WOMAN was taken to hospital last night following a two-vehicle road smash in Greenock.
The collision occurred at the corner between the town's Newton and Forsyth streets.
It is the latest in a series of crashes in the west end over the last few days. Three took place in one day during the week as a lack of road markings following council resurfacing work causes problems for motorists.
It is understood that the woman, who was driving a red Mini Cooper with a child and a dog onboard, was not seriously hurt in the 7pm collision.
The child, dog and two people within a black-coloured vehicle were unharmed.
A police investigation into the crash is ongoing.
