THREE Inverclyde acts are set to headline a top night of live entertainment from some of Scotland’s best up and coming musicians in Glasgow tomorrow.

Greenock’s own The Good Old Gin will take to the stage at Broadcast on Sauchiehall Street, along with former James Watt College music students Katie Doyle and Mark Shankland, who will perform with his band Heart Stalk Lunatic.

They are on the bill for new night, Loaded, which showcases the very best unsigned acts.

Completing the line-up are rockers Hangszeres.

The event is being organised by MFM Events, which is run by Greenock promoter and manager Mia Farrell.

She said: “It will be an entertaining night with a variety of artists that play a range of different styles.”

The gig kicks off a busy few days for The Good Old Gin, who will take to the stage at Live @ The Loft in Greenock on Boxing Day.

They released their debut album in the summer and tomorrow night will perform a selection of tracks from it as well as some new songs, which have been receiving national and international radio play.

The Greenock indie rockers have also been busy in 2016 doing supporting stints on tours and will be releasing a new acoustic album in the new year.

Mia said: “They have got a uniquely current sound and are a band that are not to be missed.”

Also taking to the stage is songstress Katie Doyle, who last year performed a stunning set to a sold-out crowd at The Royal Albert Hall.

Since then, the outstanding soul singer has appeared on the same bill as big names such as Oritsé from JLS and played at Party in the Palace alongside Billy Ocean and Big Country.

Meanwhile, Heart Stalk Lunatic have played in well-known music venues in and around the Glasgow area, including Ivory Blacks and The Garage Attic and recently in The Bungalow Bar at the same event as Paolo Nutini.

Mia said: “Heart Stalk Lunatic are an alternative rock band with huge potential. They deliver a great performance.”

Completing the line-up is new three-piece post-rock band Hangszeres, from Paisley.

After blowing the audience away at a recent hometown gig, the band were invited to play at Loaded.

The show starts at 7pm tomorrow night and tickets are available from any of the band members, online from Skiddle or Tickets Scotland, and also on the door.
