Detective's appeal after high value raid on house in Greenock.
DETECTIVES are appealing for information after thieves broke into a house in Greenock and stole a large sum of money and valuables.
The theft happened at a house in Newton Street some time between 4pm yesterday and 1.30am this morning.
Detective Constable Neil Gorman, of Greenock CID, is appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
He said: "There was a high value break-in in Newton Street.
"A large sum of money and valuable property have been stolen.
"Anyone with information is asked to phone police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
