CRAFTY kids and their parents are taking advantage of free textile workshops in Greenock.
Classes are continuing at the Broomhill Art Flat in Broomhill Court courtesy of local charity RIG Arts.
The textile ‘upcycling’ workshops are designed to teach people of all ages a variety of skills to help breathe new life into tired goods, including furniture and clothes, and create public artworks for the Broomhill Gardens and Community Hub.
Artists Steph Davidson and Susan McInnes are on hand to share their expertise and helped participants at a craft fair make a range of cards, gifts and decorations.
The textiles and screen-printing workshops return on January 18 and will be on every Thursday from 6-8pm until the end of March.
They are part of RIG’s ‘Plastic Fantastic’ project, funded by the Climate Challenge Fund and the European Regional Development Fund.
