INVERCLYDE Council has launched a budget consultation to find out the views of local residents on a range of savings proposals.
The savings proposals are published online using an innovative budget simulator where residents can choose their preferred savings proposals.
The budget simulator will ‘balance’ the budget when £5m worth of savings or increased charges are identified and the budget submitted.
Residents can also make comments on the savings proposals or use the simulator to make other suggestions.
No decisions have been taken on savings proposals. The only decision taken is to consult with residents on proposals. Councillors will meet in March, after the consultation, to review the feedback and make decisions on the council budget.
