IT was fun and games for Aileymill Nursery children as they exercised and explored the world of fitness.

Personal trainer Collette Donnachie is on a mission to encourage local youngsters to get active.

She visited the nursery and soon everyone was working up a sweat.

Keep fit instructor Collette, 35, who is originally from Port Glasgow, said: "I hope to give as many nurseries as possible the chance to try the sessions.

"I am keen to encourage parents to get fit with their children.

"It is great for bonding/.

"It is hard sometimes to get fit when you have children and can't find childcare."

The Aileymill youngsters were put through their paces and showed off some of their best moves.

They struck the right balance by juggling hula hoops and they ran around a colourful parachute.

Mum-of-two Collette is hoping to help develop a new generation of children who love physical activity and take their parents along with them.

Collette runs sessions at Funworld and is also going on the road to other local nurseries.

She said: "I am keen to tie in with nurseries because it fits in with attempts to tackle obesity."
