A WOMAN was taken to hospital and a busy Greenock road was temporarily blocked yesterday after a car crash.
Paramedics and police officers attended the accident in Barrs Cottage on Inverkip Road at 1.30pm.
One car was left badly damaged after it collided with a metal fence.
Police officers say a 31-year-old woman was taken to Inverclyde Royal with minor injuries.
Officers added that a 49-year-old man has been charged with careless driving and say a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
