Flood Hero

Tele reporter Daniella Theis and I met up with hero Robert Doolan after he rescued a woman, her son and their dog from rising floodwaters on Kilmacolm Road. Robert, who works for Home Fix Scotland, carried the out the rescue to the applause of onlookers. 

 

Strike Action

We visited primary schools to meet teachers who are continuing strike action to secure a ten per cent pay rise. This shot shows striking teaching staff at Greenock's St Mary's Primary School.

At last, moves are afoot to remove the eye-sore that is Clune Park, by slapping compulsory purchase orders on properties. The collection of dangerous and broken-down flats, with crumbling closes, decaying floors and collapsing ceilings is a blite on the Inverclyde landscape and will hopefully meet its end soon.
