PORT Glasgow has seen many changes over the years and today we take a look at some areas of the town whose look has radically altered.
Children have a splashing time in a paddling pool which had the iconic replica of Henry Bell's historic 1812 paddle steamer Comet as its centrepiece in the early 1970s. Below, the same location today, minus Comet and the pool.
This was how the town's Highholm Street looked in the 1990s. Below, the view of the same location today.
The above image shows how the corner of Bay Street and Fore Street looked many, many years ago. The vehicle parked on the street provides a significant clue to the era. Below, a picture of the same corner today.
Princes Street on a sunny day in the 1960s, and below the thoroughfare today.
We hope you've enjoyed our latest memory lane offering today, and look forward to bringing you another very soon.
