SUZUKI have scored top marks in the annual What Car? Reliability Survey.
More than 23,700 responses were received from owners of cars up to five years old who were asked what faults they had experienced in the last two years.
The Suzuki Swift topped the small car sector, with an owner satisfaction score of 99.5 per cent.
Scoring 99.4 per cent, Suzuki’s Ignis was judged the most reliable small SUV.
What Car? consumer editor Claire Evans said: “If you are after an affordable and dependable small hatchback or SUV, the Suzuki Swift and Ignis are great options. Owners of both models told us they experienced very few faults.”
The survey covered 32 brands and 178 different models.
Suzuki were rated fourth best brand for reliability with a score of 96.9 per cent.
With ratings of 98.3, 97.4 and 97.2 per cent respectively, the top three places were occupied by Lexus, Toyota and Mini.
