THIS month sees the bringing together of people passionate about apprenticeships and the opportunities they bring. In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, here are some shots of local apprentices and their successes.
Pic1: This shot features apprentices of Ferguson Marine as they celebrated the beginnings of their careers with the company. The newly qualified students were congratulated by economy minister Derek McKay at Greenock's Beacon Arts Centre.
Pic2: Taken in 2007 at James Watt College, this shot shows newly qualified apprentices working for River Clyde Homes. The shot was taken as the college celebrated its 100th anniversary.
Pic3: This picture taken in the Provost's Room at Greenock Town Hall shows Inverclyde Council workers celebrating completion of their apprenticeships as part of the Modern Apprenticeship Scheme in 2003.
Pic4: Council leader Stephen McCabe joined newly qualified Inverclyde Council apprentices for a photocall back in 2014.
Pic5: Apprentice plumbing specialists were pictured at West College Scotland as they learned their trade as part of a training partnership with James Paterson and Sons.
The scheme became a conveyor belt of learning and jobs ensuring a smooth path to a solid career.
