Pic1: Hopefully, scenes like this on Greenock A8 corridor will be a thing of the past now the extensive drainage improvement works have been completed. I took this picture as work on the road was winding down, ending the need for local and visiting drivers to join lengthy traffic queues.
Pic2: I took this picture of Kilmacolm businessman and chef Rashith Siriwardhana who is doing his bit to bring life to Greenock's struggling West Blackhall Street. The curiously named Bird Chicken Shop will open its doors next month.
Pic3: I joined staff of Greenock Medical Aid Society's Bagatelle when they celebrated official recognition of consistently high standards over the past two years. An inspection found the work and service of the care home 'very good' and 'excellent' and praised them for their plans moving forward.
Pic4: Readers of the Telegraph who keep an eye on our social media channels may have seen and heard the stunning talent of Dame High School music student Chol Riak.
What is even more extraordinary about Chol's musical ability is he taught himself how to play piano by watching YouTube!
