Pic1: Although Prospecthill Court in Greenock sticks out like a sore thumb as it is now stripped of its cladding, River Clyde Homes bosses have revealed the building is undergoing a transformation that will convert it into a state-of-the-art block of dwellings with reduced heating costs and ultra-modern thermal windows.

Pic3: Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar got busy with his ladle when he joined Councillor Martin McCluskey to help serve up welcome bowls of soup at Auchmountain Halls in Greenock. On his visit, Mr Sarwar also served up a scathing attack on the Scottish Government on job losses and lack of support offered to local councils.
