MOVIEGOERS across Inverclyde are getting ready to take their seats for a celebration of Scotland on screen.

Inverclyde Film Festival will run at the Waterfront Cinema from March 22 to 24.

The team behind the festival say the selection of films will showcase the 'best of Scottish scenery, talent, and creativity over the last 70 years' and will celebrate Scottish culture and heritage.

Some of the films being screened include Aftersun, The Wicker Man, Shrek, Moulin Rouge and comedian Janey Godley's film, Janey,

Festival lead Carys Knox said the team behind the celebration of film are excited to bring the event back for its third run.

She added: "Reflecting on 2023, we saw many fantastic films bring new audiences to the Waterfront Cinema.

"I hope that this year will be just as successful in showcasing the talent in front of and behind the camera, and highlighting the variety of content out there."
