LOCAL drama groups are gearing up for the next round of a prestigious one act play festival.
It follows on from the success of the Scottish Community Drama Play Festival at the Beacon Arts Centre earlier this month.
The winning adult play, Seagulls, by Greenock Players Finnart Team received the Telegraph Trophy and Julie McKellar won the Gordon McKenzie Memorial Quaich for best actor.
Seagulls will represent Inverclyde at the Adult Western Divisional finals, in Castle Douglas on April 4 until April 6.
The Beacon will host the Scottish Finals, from April 25-27 and tickets are on sale now.
