A GREENOCK teenager charged with biting a police officer and resisting arrest is set to stand trial at the sheriff court.
Eighteen-year-old Tayven Adamson is accused of acting aggressively towards officers at Dalrymple Street on September 17 last year.
It is claimed the teen repeatedly shouted, swore and refused to comply with police instructions.
Adamson is said to have obstructed or hindered three PCs by tensing his body and attempting to pull his arms away from them, before allegedly kicking one officer on the body.
He is further charged with biting a male constable on the body.
According to court papers, the accused, of Union Street, was on bail at the time of the alleged offences.
He was absent from a recent calling of the case as solicitor Amy Spencer maintained not guilty pleas on his behalf.
Sheriff Clair McLachlan continued proceedings to a trial on April 10.
