A GREENOCK man facing multiple drugs charges has had a sheriff court trial delayed by six months due to a major medical operation.
Brian Wilkie is accused of being in possession of cocaine, etizolam and pregabalin at a footpath between Ann Street and Shaw Place.
The 52-year-old, who was allegedly subject to bail conditions at the time, was not present for the latest calling of proceedings.
Solicitor Gerry Keenan told the court that his client was 'in hospital for the amputation of a foot'.
Wilkie, of Devon Road, who is said to have committed the alleged drugs offences on May 20 2022, is now set for a summary trial on October 3.
